As I have only been at my job two weeks it is hard to know all the ethical considerations that are important! One of the nice things about this office is that is has a relaxed atmosphere but this means you have to motivate yourself. Having a good worth ethic means you need to be able to get on with any task given to you and find things to do when you are not working on anything in particular. It is very easy in between projects to get lax and just wait for someone to prompt you on what to do next. I think someone with a good work ethic will seek out the jobs, ask others if they need help and still do the jobs that are actually assigned to them to the best of their ability.
Obviously punctuality and presentation are important. When there is no one checking up on you it is easy to start slipping on both those things. Getting in 5 mins late everyday adds up to a lot of time if you do it every day!
To me I think self motivation is the way to keep within the ethics of any workplace. If you are working to the very best of your ability then hopefully that is good enough for everyone!
